Tour to Kumrat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa PAKISTAN

Aslam o Alikum!

We had a pretty wonderful tour to Neelum Valley in 2015. We had a break of almost a year and tried to go for another tour to Kumrat Valley in July 2016. Let me take you all for a virtual tour.

Let`s start with Zaeem. Here I`m in Kumrat Valley.
Those days were tough. I was working in a cotton bleaching industry. My duty timings were from 4 pm in the evening to 10 pm in the night. Umer the Sheikh sb (our tour planner) kept on forcing us to go for the tour. We did not have any vacations. Those were busy working days. We still decided to go for a tour. I think it was Friday, Sheikh sb. forced us to leave for the tour at night. There was a Daewoo going to somewhere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I had to arrive at Daewoo bus terminal Kalma chowk before 12 pm. My younger brother Haseeb was at industry gate on time with bike. Hum puray 10 bj kr 10 mint prr wahn se nkl prry. It takes almost one hour to reach kalma chowk from Raiwind. We were right on time. But some Policemen stopped us on the way. They checked us, asked for papers of bike. We provided everything but they kept on asking for money. We did not have much with us. My younger brother is kind of aggressive army man type of person. He started a debate with them. I requested one of the policemen to please let us go because my friends (Umer, Noman and Hassan) were waiting at terminal. Finally the policeman took eighty rupees from us and let us go. After crossing underpass at canal road, we forgot the way. We looked here and there for the terminal and finally arrived there at exact 12 at night. Thus bus door was closing. Hassan looked at me and ran inside passengers room to buy tickets. Bus was leaving, I was shouting Knsi bus ha? Knsi bus ha?  but no one said anything to me and the bus left. We lost the bus and it was the last bus to go there. I started screaming at them while my younger brother was enjoying the moment and dancing while wearing cowboy hat. Then, we booked a rickshaw and went to main adda of Lahore. We got a bus to rawalpindi from there. We arrived faizabad in the morning and took a van to Kumrat Valley. I had a colored copy of ID card with me. Army men cut it.

Note: Please take your original national ID card with you always, whenever you are going for a tour. 

Kumrat Valley

We arrived to our destination at night. We did not get any apartment there to live. Natives there told us to go further. We took a jeep type thing to go further. It was all broken road. There were stones everywhere. We were so much tired of this hectic journey. When we arrived, we did not again find any place to live. We requested at some hotel for a place to live. They offered us some phattas and razai and we spent our night there. I don`t remember the places where we were. These were called Dir, upper Dir something like this. Finally we woke up in the morning. Scenes were beautiful. It was cold there as well. We were in Kumrat Valley. We started tracking to visit Jahaz Banda. The track to top was not safe. People told, there were wild animals. Therefore, the guide kept weapon with him. There were a museum we visited.

We stayed there for a while, changed our dresses and moved further. The track was very difficult, we got tired and injured as well. We had some dry fruits with us. We also made some videos during this tour. 

This was how we arrived at top. But scenes at the top were very charming. We captured some pictures, recorded videos and enjoyed the nature. Meet us.

We found a hotel at the top. We sat there, had gupshup and ate Karahi. I had a medical and physical test of Pakistan Navy. Therefore we could not go further. If you go, please visit Katora lake. We came back at night and went back to our home town in the morning. This was a short 3 day tour.
